Buck and Eddie: Spring (9-1-1)

I just love Spring, it's all about a fresh start and new beginnings. And in this current eighth season of 9-1-1 both Eddie and Buck are both dealing with fresh starts and new beginnings. From Eddie navigating his new (old) life in El Paso, TX and reuniting with his son Christopher and dealing with no longer having his best friend in the same city as him. To Buck moving into his new (Eddie's old) house while learning to adjust to his best friend moving away and learning that it's okay to be alone. I hope at one point they will get a chance to experience another fresh start together when they figure out they have romantic feelings for each other and decide to date and be in a relationship. That will truly be a new beginning for them.

With that said, I found this beautiful gif set of Eddie and Buck by Sarabeth that feels very much like Spring. Especially with all the equally beautiful flora and fauna that was included with images of Buck and Eddie. And on the gif set is this quote: "If I was a bluebird, I would fly to you. You'd be the spoon. Dip you in honey so I could be sticking to you". Which are lyrics from the song "Daylight" by Harry Styles.

Side note: Why do these gifs look like the opening or end credits for a romantic comedy? I would love that when Buck and Eddie go canon, that the episode would be written like a romantic comedy. They so deserve it.

Buck saying "It's Me", is that foreshadowing?

In the 9-1-1 episode Sob Stories (season 8 episode 9), why does Buck saying "It's me" to Eddie feel like forshadowing. And not to mention Eddie's shock and suprise reaction afterwards. I know this conversation was about Buck telling Eddie he's renting his house but the "It's me" just felt like such a loud statement. The writers could have used a different choice of words but instead went with "It's me".

I really hope it's foreshadowing because these two are perfect for each other. None of the random love interests they have throughout the series had ever felt like they were right for them. Which is why I will continue to hope that Buck and Eddie will eventually end up together. I also hope it won't take too long for Eddie and his son Christopher to return to Los Angeles.

Happy Valentine's Day, Buck and Eddie! (9-1-1)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone and especially to my favorite couple (albeit non-canon), Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley. I hope one day they get a chance to go canon because they are so perfect for each other. I really want to see Buck and Eddie tell each other how they feel. I also want to see them go on their first date and just overall see their relationship grow and change as they go from best friends to lovers. I just feel like their chemistry and connection is way too amazing to waste. Which is why I really hope they will go canon.

With that said, I wanted to post this amazing Valentine's Day gif set by bilosan. I absolutely love it, it's just so cute.

Buck and Eddie and the Five Love Languages (9-1-1)

The Five Love Languages are considered the five different ways that people connect and express their love within their relationship. And Evan "Buck" Buckley and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz exhibit each of these Five Love Languages which are described as:

1. Words of Affirmations: Expressing your love with words, spoken and written such as: encouragement, love letters, compliments, praise, quotes, flirting, playful teasing, etc. Eddie and Buck both use Words of Affirmation to be supportive, encouraging and understanding towards each other. While also at time their conversations can be a little flirty. For instance, in the episode Fallout (season 3 episode 9) Buck in a very flirty way said to Eddie, "You want to for the title?" He could have easily said that without making it flirty. And Eddie's nonverbal reaction afterwards was also very telling.

Buck and Eddie: Birds of a Feather

Wow, this gif set by Marcia is so absolutely beautiful, I had to share it. From the scenes to contrast between the red and gray to the quote (which is from the song "Birds of a Feather" by Billie Eilish), it's all amazing. This is one of my new favorite Buck and Eddie gif sets, do you have a favorite one?

When Eddie met Buck, it was Magical! (9-1-1)

I was looking over this amazing gif set by Alice and it's clear that Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz doesn't realize that when him and Evan "Buck" Buckley met it was magical. It was instant chemistry. When I look back on both the sixth and seventh seasons of 9-1-1, Eddie was trying to find or recapture what he thought he had with his late wife Shannon with Marisol and Shannon's look-a-like Kim. However, he was completely romanticizing what him and Shannon used to have and ignoring all the ways their relationship didn't work.

I really wish he would see that whatever he thought he had with Shannon is exactly what he has with Buck. They have the magic, chemistry, connection and bond that he tried finding in his doomed relationships with his ex-girlfriends Dr. Ana Flores and Marisol and former whatever he had with Kim. I hope the Showrunner and writers will finally let Eddie see what's been right in front of him for so long. And let him find the love he's been looking for with Buck. Because when Eddie met Buck it was simply magical.

Buck and Eddie: You don't find it. You make it. (9-1-1)

I was thinking about the infamous quote "You don't find it, son. You make it." said by Thomas to Evan "Buck" Buckley in the 9-1-1 episode Buck, Actually (season 2 episode 8). It doesn't go without notice that Buck and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz have done exactly that. Because what they have created is a real relationship. And that kind of love (be it non-canon and only platonic at the moment) isn’t something you find or stumble into. At times it’s not always easy. However, to create something that's meaningful and lasting, it’s a choice that they have made throughout six seasons of this show. Especially when things have been difficult in both their lives and relationship with each other, they continue to keep fighting for each other.

What I always found interesting is that Buck and Eddie actively work at building and strengthening their relationship with each other. Which is not something that they do with their romantic relationships. Which is why I love this gif set by Audrey, it's fantastic. It really highlights Eddie and Buck's relationship in relation to what Thomas said to Buck. When Thomas was talking to Buck, the rest of the 118 firefighters and paramedic were trying their best to see if they could save Thomas' husband Mitchell. Mitchell died due to a freak accident after their car had rolled down their driveway and hit him while he was unlocking their entrance gate. They had created such an amazing love and life together that when Thomas went over to his husband's body to say goodbye, he immediately died. In Thomas' own words, "We only ever wanted to... to go together."

Buck and Eddie have built a life with each other and hopefully soon they will realize it. The love they have for each other is unmatched to anything they have with any romantic relationships they've ever had. I am so looking forward to the day the writers finally let Eddie and Buck realize the great love they have been searching for throughout the series, they have already created with each other.
