Video: Eddie talking to Buck about what he remembered after he was shot (9-1-1)

Wow, this fan video is perfectly edited. In the original scene from the episode Recovery (season 6 episode 12), when Eddie was telling Buck what he remembered from when he was shot it was only just the two of them talking in Eddie's kitchen with no flashback scenes. I remember when this episode originally aired, I thought it would have been more poignant if they have added in scenes from the moment when Eddie was shot. It was still a very good scene with Eddie and Buck connecting in that moment over their near death (Eddie) and death (Buck) experiences. This amazing edit is exactly what I thought that scene should have been. It just added even more context to this conversation by including scenes from when Eddie was shot and rescued in episodes Suspicion (season 4 episode 13) and Survivors (season 4 episode 14). From these additional scenes, it's obvious that there is a lot Eddie doesn't remember but we as the viewers remember how intense that moment was.

If the writers ever remember, it would be interesting to see Eddie finding out just how much Buck did to get him to the hospital just in time. From Buck springing into action (after being in a slight shock) by rolling under the fire truck while the sniper was still shooting to try to rescue Eddie. To Buck's continued screams of “I got you!” even before he finally reached Eddie to Buck pulling him to safety and then loading Eddie into the fire truck. To Buck ripping open Eddie's shirt and starting the process of providing medical assistance. What's interesting is that Buck could have stepped back once he had Eddie on the truck and let the other firefighter who may also have been a paramedic take care of Eddie. But no, he had to be the one to at least start the medical care but other the firefighter did eventually take over. It's just so interesting because throughout this entire incident, Buck was truly Eddie’s lifeline because first he rescued him then made sure he was the first person to start his medical care. That's a lot of intense love that was in that moment.

Which is probably why so many fans have speculated over the years that the shooting should have been the start of Buck and Eddie going canon. It sure felt that way but alas it didn't happen and Eddie and Buck were yet again in relationships with random love interest that unfortunately continued into the fifth season. Buck and Eddie have a connection that none of their love interests can compete with. Which is why I don't understand why the Showrunner and writers just don't see how amazing they would be together in a romantic relationship. Well, I guess only time will tell, if they will ever go canon. I certainly hope so.
