Happy Father's Day, Eddie Diaz!

Unlike the last Father's Day, where the seventh season finale left Eddie and his son Christopher separated when Chris went with his grandparents back to El Paso, TX following the Kim (Shannon Diaz lookalike) situation. This Father's Day, they are happy and reunited and celebrating the day. I hope Eddie is showered with plenty of love and gifts from his son.

And like with last year I thought Buck would try his best to cheer up Eddie with Chris being gone. I figure this time, Buck would be over at Eddie's helping Chris cook a special Father's Day breakfast for Eddie. And then all three would enjoy a wonderful relaxing morning eating breakfast and then having fun the rest of the day.

Happy Father's Day, Eddie Diaz! (+ A list of Eddie and Chris 9-1-1 episodes)

Today is Father's Day is quite a few countries and I couldn't help posting something again in honor of Edmundo "Eddie" and Christopher Diaz. Below is a list of 9-1-1 episodes that either center on or have key scenes for Eddie and Chris. Eddie is a really good father because although he has made mistakes, he is so understanding and supportive of Chris. Even when there maybe issues or problems they're dealing with he listens to his son instead of just telling him what to do. Which is why I hope that in the upcoming eighth season, Eddie and Chris' reunion will be something touching and well-written and certainly not rushed.

Question: How do you think Eddie Diaz is dealing with Father's Day?

After 9-1-1's seventh season finale, for Father's Day this year, I don't think Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz would be looking forward to this day. He probably doubt it would be a good one especially with his son Christopher in El Paso, Texas with Eddie's parents. With Chris probably still mad at Eddie, he might not even call his father to wish him a Happy Father's Day. I also don't see Eddie calling his own father Ramon to wish him a Happy Father's Day. Especially not after Eddie's parents' Helena and Ramon weren't supportive and understanding to what he was going through. They were too busy being manipulative in fulfilling their wish of finally taking Chris away from Eddie.

However, I do think there might be a good part of his day. Since Evan "Buck" Buckley knows that today would be a difficult day for Eddie, he would want to cheer him up. So he would go over to Eddie's house early to either cook, order or take him out for breakfast. Then for the rest of the day, Buck either had things planned for them to do or they just randomly went to places. I think this day of either planned or random adventures would be just what Eddie needed especially if Chris didn't call or text him Happy Father's Day.

I would like to think that maybe before Eddie goes to bed that Chris will send a late text with a message. The message will be short and simple but at least Eddie received something from his son. But that just might be wishful thinking because he may end the day without any sort of communication from Chris.
