Why was it more important to see Buck and Eddie seeing each other instead of Eddie and Ana seeing each other? Earlier in the episode, viewers saw Ana by Eddie's bedside while he was in a coma but it was Buck's reaction to Eddie being awake that mattered. But even Ana being at his bedside was overshadowed by Buck telling Eddie's son Christopher about Eddie being shot (or hurt as he told Chris). And not to mention Buck taking care of Chris while Eddie was in the hospital. Anyway, the writers made a point of showing who was important.
Something else I wanted to point out was that Buck running to Eddie reminded me of a scene in Hero Complex (season 5 episode 17). It was when Dr. Karen Wilson ran over to her wife Henrietta "Hen" Wilson who was in the hospital. Hen had been in the hospital following her and Howard "Chimney" Han being abducted by Jonah Greenway. I mention all this because, Eddie and Buck always seem to parallel the three main couples: Athena Grant and Robert "Bobby" Nash, Hen and Karen and Maddie Buckley and Chimney. For another example, this Buck and Eddie scene was also similar to a scene in All Fall Down (season 7 episode 10). When Athena returned to Bobby's hospital room after he woke up from his coma and Hen, Buck, Eddie and Chimney moved aside so that Athena and Bobby could see each other.
I just continue to be amazed at how so many Buck and Eddie scenes are parallel to the other couples. And if they don't end up being canon, then it truly is a waste of all of that amazing chemistry.
