~ Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz, 9-1-1 season 8 episode 1: Buzzkill
I find it so interesting is that when Eddie said this it would later become a sort of mantra for Evan "Buck" Buckley. Because when Buck was zoning out and becoming hyper aware, it's Eddie's voice that he used to ground and center him. Surprisingly, being hyper aware allowed Buck to save the evil Captain Vincent Gerrard's love who clearly would have died from that saw blade.
Anyway, I do wonder when Buck zones out at other times, is it always Eddie's voice that he uses to ground him? It's been an ongoing fan theory that Buck has ADHD and it does seem like the writers might be leaning towards especially in this episode.
