Quote: Edmundo Diaz and Evan Buckley (9-1-1)

Eddie: What’s five million divided by eight?

Buck: I’m not doing any more math.

~ Edumndo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley, 9-1-1 season 4 episode 12: Treasure Hunt

I just remembered how defeated and dejected Eddie and Buck sounded in this scene from the 9-1-1 episode Treasure Hunt. Earlier in this scene, Buck had used his phone's calculator to figure out how much everyone's (which included Athena Grant, Robert "Bobby" Nash, Henrietta "Hen" Wilson, Howard "Chimney" Han and TV Reporter Taylor Kelly) share of the treasure would be. However, they would soon realize that Probationary Firefighter Ravi Panikkar had found the hidden treasure just a few minutes before they all did. What I like is that Ravi didn't seem to have any problem sharing with them. However, they would all be in for a shock once Ravi opened the treasure chest.

I love the Treasure Hunt episode, it's just a fun and wacky episode. I wish the 9-1-1 showrunner and writers will remember to include some fun and zany episodes in the upcoming eighth seasons. Last season, they were so busy trying to make the show overly dramatic and trying to turn the show into something it's not. When they could have been adding in more humor. 9-1-1 is known as the wacky and zany first responder show. I hope they remember that. Yes, this is a drama show but it's also the show that had a bus get stuck in a high rise building, a shark that needed to be rescued on the freeway/highway, a jinx episode filled with ridiculous calls, etc. I just don't want them to forget the fun aspects of the show.
